Sequoia National Bark

Recently I got to visit Sequoia National Park for the first time, and while the tall huge trees are fun and a photography challenge, I had a bunch of fun with this one photo I had taken close up of some bark.

The scale overall across in this shot is probably about a 3ish feet, it was cloudy at the time and this was on the shady side. It seemed like a fun photo to experiment with.

First up was to try and make the bit of mold in the corner standout more.

Next up FUN! with colors. The underlying pallet was surprisingly colorful.

Black and white to try and bring out just the amount of texturing in it.

Okay, I can never resist flipping all the switches on and see what comes out.
